What if my kids don't cooperate?
They don’t need to. Kids are allowed to be kids here. We’ll make time for breaks, movement, snacks, silliness and whatever helps everyone settle in. I’ll guide you when needed, but some of the best photographs usually happen in the moments you weren’t trying to create.

What should we wear?
You don’t need to match. Aim for colors, textures and pieces that feel good together and still feel like you. Once your session is booked, I’ll help you think through outfits based on the season, location and overall feel you want for the photographs.

Where should we take the photos?
We’ll choose a location together based on your family, the season and the kind of experience you want. That might mean a favorite park, somewhere around Alexandria or DC, a place that already means something to you, or simply your own home. I’ll help with the planning so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely. Pets are part of the family, and they’re welcome whenever the location allows them. I’ll also help plan around your dog’s personality so including them feels natural rather than stressful.

Can we do this at home?
Yes, and home sessions can be some of the most meaningful. Your home already contains your routines, favorite corners and all the little details that belong to this season of your life. They’re especially good for young children, new babies, slower mornings and families who want photographs that feel deeply personal.
